Three things to do on a weekend in Essex

    1. See the seaside at Clacton

Not too far from our Orchards Holiday Village is the traditional seaside town of Clacton. Take in some fresh sea air on a stroll there, then enjoy Clacton’s amusements, Pier and Fun Park.

    2. Explore Brightlingsea

This small and pretty coastal town is perfect for a paddle! Relax on the beach, watch the boats go by, or you can even hop aboard one and enjoy a harbour tour.

    3. Visit Colchester

Steeped in history (from the Romans, Saxons, Normans and Victorians!), there’s plenty to see in Colchester. Visit the Colchester Castle Museum to top up your culture, visit the town’s shops and Roman wall, and visit the many animals at Colchester Zoo.
