Kent’s rolling landscapes give it the nickname ‘The Garden of England’, yet there's far more to this county than taking leisurely strolls through pretty villages (though we’d recommend that, too).

Year-round
Shorne Woods parkrun, Shorne
Where: Shorne Woods Country Park, Brewers Road, Gravesend DA12 3HX
When: Every Saturday at 9am
Everyone is welcome at Shorne Woods parkrun. This inclusive event is suitable for everyone, regardless of how fast you are. Buggies and dogs are also welcome! The 5k event happens on a weekly basis and is FREE to enter. Just head to parkrun UK’s website to register and get your barcode for the event.
Gillingham FC football matches (except June-July)
When: generally, every other Saturday, with some Tuesday night matches too
Where: Redfern Avenue, Gillingham ME7 4DD
Gillingham are an historic football club plying their trade in League Two, the fourth tier of English football. They’re Kent’s only Football League club and have a rich heritage and loyal fanbase. Their stadium Priestfield, isn’t far from Haven Kent Coast, so it’s well worth checking out a game or two over the course of the football season.
Kent Cheese Train
Where: Tunbridge Wells West Station
When: Every other Saturday from March to October 2025
A steam locomotive through historic countryside and a bottle of bubbly, what could make this any more ideal? Oh yes, cheese! The Kent Cheese Train takes you on a one-hour journey from Tunbridge Wells to Ebridge. While you soak up the sights, sample delicious local cheese, all washed down with your beverage of choice.

2025 Maidstone Road Run
Where: Hubbard's Lane, Maidstone, ME17 4HZ
When: 2 March 2025
Do your bit to support the Heart of Kent Hospice by taking part in this family-friendly run! Don your best costume and run the 1k fun run for a chance to win a prize. If you’re looking for a bit more of a challenge, opt for the 5k or 10k routes which take you through the rural villages in the Maidstone area.

The Choral Pilgrimage: The Sixteen

Where: Rochester Cathedral, Rochester ME1 1SX
Medieval music combines with modern voices in this atmospheric recital. Step inside the stunning Rochester Cathedral and witness a programme relaxing music in the most atmospheric of settings.

Kent Garden Show 2025
When: 24-26 May 2025
Where: Detling Showground, Maidstone ME14 3JF
Browse floral displays including award-winning work, explore 60 nurseries-worth of plants, and pick up all the gardening equipment you could need. Children can also enjoy a handful or rides or visit the craft pavilion.

The Kent Wellness Festival
When: 7-8 June 2025
Where: Detling Showground, Maidstone ME14 3JF
Still in search of your inner peace? This could be the place for you. The Kent Wellness Festival hosts a range of workshops from experts in fitness, nutrition, mindfulness and spirituality. You can take part in fitness classes, sound baths, and pick up some delicious international food.
Bluey visits Kent Life

With its farm train rides, indoor soft play, and its horses, donkeys and alpacas Kent Life is worth a visit any time of year. But visit on Saturday 21 June and you could meet the world’s most famous Blue Heeler – Bluey! You can book your Bluey meet and greet time when you buy your entry tickets online.

Sausage and Cider Fest
Where: Quex Park, Park Lane, Birchington, CT7 0HR
When: 5 July 2025
This music and food fest’s a true banger–-over 30 ciders available on tap, 20 flavours of sausage, plus heaps of other local food and drink to fill up on. Enjoy some of the UK’s best tribute acts and even Barrioke (Barry from Eastenders) will be entertaining the crowds! Why not have a nosy around the dozens of stalls in the festival market, too?
Maidstone Brick Festival
When: 12 July 2025
Where: Maidstone Leisure Centre, Mote Park, Maidstone ME15 7RN
The ultimate LEGO fan event comes to Kent, bringing with it impressive displays, speed-building competitions and the chance to see old and new LEGO sets. This popular family-friendly event can be quick to sell out, so you’ll want to book tickets in advance.
Maid of Stone Festival
When: 18-20 July 2025
Where: Mote Park, Maidstone ME15 7RN
This family-friendly, three-day rock festival combines up-and-coming talent with established rockers in a celebration of all things heavy metal and alternative. As well as all-important food stalls you’ll also find an axe-throwing area and merch tents.
August
Kent Country Show
Where: Quex Park, Manston Road Entrance, Birchington, CT7 0HR
When: 24-25 August 2025
Back to Quex Park in August for a traditional event with a twist. This country show boasts the best of rural Kent, featuring equestrian shows, bird displays, ferret racing, and reptile shows. For foodies, there are cookery demonstrations, and thrill seekers won’t want to miss the stunt shows, wrestling, and speed chainsaw carving.
Broadstairs Folk Week
Where: Broadstairs high street and nearby venues
When: 8-15 August 2025
2025 marks the 60th anniversary of this fab festival! There will be concerts, workshops, and Morris dancing, with plenty of stalls at the craft fair. There’s something exciting going on at several venues up and down the main high street, with live performances and talks. Don’t miss the procession on Saturday 9 August!
Margate Soul Festival 2025
Where: Newgate Lower Promenade, Cliftonville and other venues across Margate
When: 1-3 August 2025
Nearly 20 venues across Margate are hosting shows at the festival in 2025. Head to the lower promenade for the headline acts and international soul stars, and find smaller-scale gigs, street parties, and community activities dotted throughout the town. It’s an experience any soul-lover won’t want to pass up!

Let2offset - make no site fee payments for 7 years
Let2offset is a contractual lettings product that offers eligible owners a guaranteed letting income at a preferential rate (calculated each year) in exchange for a stipulated number of letting breaks. It also allows eligible owners to pay their site fees and receive their letting income in 12 equal monthly instalments; the monthly site fee amount charged by Haven will be after deduction of the letting income.
‘Make no site fee payments when using Let2offset for 7 years’ is available at 33 Haven parks excluding Burnham, Cardigan View, Far Grange, Garreg Wen, Lydstep Beach, Riviere Sands and Seaview. The letting income received will vary by make, model and location. The monthly site fee payment does not include running costs e.g. utilities, rates & insurance.
‘Make no site fee payments when using Let2offset for 7 years’ is applicable to new and existing customer purchases of new Victory Ashberry 3 Bed or equivalent grade holiday home purchases made through Haven where customers have also signed up to Haven’s Let2offset contract. It is not applicable to private sales and cannot be used in conjunction with our free Site Fee promotion.
An example of how ‘Make no site fee payments when using Let2offset for 7 years’ operates under Let2offset is the purchase of an Victory Ashberry 3 Bed holiday home at Seton Sands with a monthly site fee of £667.08 (includes purchasing discount of £17.08) and monthly letting income of £673.17. The monthly difference equates to £23.17, which will be credited to the owner's account. Both letting income and site fees are subject to yearly pricing reviews and the monthly site fee costs and letting income shown in the example are based on 2025 figures.
Modelled assumptions on expected annual site fee and letting income charges over the 7-year lettable life of the Victory Ashberry 3 Bed indicate that under Let2offset it is anticipated that these customers will continue to receive a monthly credit during this period, however, this is not guaranteed. The modelled assumptions are based on the historical performance of Haven over the past 5 years of trading as of 2024.
