Weymouth Bay Holiday Park

Bank holiday weekend, 3 night stay. We stayed in a Bronze caravan and honestly it was a nice surprise. Plenty of space, decent facilities including smart tv, dishwasher and en suite loo! One down side was a very busted sofa with springs coming through. The main hub was nice. Very clean and tidy, nice facilities again. We enjoyed the arcades and evenings in the club house. Great bingo and kids entertainment. Drinks expensive! Mash n barrel we ate at several times and I have mixed feelings. The service was good and menu had lots of options but food is always lukewarm. Definitely needs to be hotter. Overall a great stay, would come again especially as there’s so much to do in the local area for families. We felt we needed longer! Lovely 10-15 minute walk to the Bea h for ice cream 🍨

The promotional pictures and videos of this are park are out dated and misleading. The area behind the shop stinks of fish and the place needs deep cleaning. The live lounge also has a horrible sour milk gone off cheese smell to it. The sites facilities are far to small for the amount of caravans. The caravans are far to tightly packed together, our bathroom window opened over looking next doors picnic table! Upon arrival at our caravan, it was some what clean but not great. I had to go round and clean it myself. In the childrens bedroom wardrobe, there were stained duvets with blood and what looked like brown mess. The pool is extremely dirty and poorly maintained. The activity team do not engage or encourage the children doing any of the activities, they just stand there looking bored. The rangers station is non existent just a wooden frame under construction. The site is extremely noisy at night, people still being excessively loud gone 1 in the morning so you won't sleep if you come here. The best part of our trip was when we went off site to Bowleaze cove and the bus stop just outside the park to the other surrounding areas dorset has to offer. There was a feeling of dread from all of us in my family when we had to come back to the site at the end of the day. We will most certainly not be returning. We all couldn't wait to go home!

We were highly disappointed with our stay this time! We have been coming to haven sites for years and have never had an experience like this. The cleanliness of the caravans was SHOCKING! Because of our experience last year which my partner left a review for we rebooked this site and we were excited for our holiday. However after paying for early check in on our bronze caravan we arrived at the caravan to what looked like they had only made the beds and put toilet roll in the bathrooms, nothing else had been done. The floor was dirty and after 10 minutes of my son being in the caravan his feet and our socks where black. The sides and part of the sofa were sticky and had marks. There was not enough cutlery, food on the floor, rubbish under beds, socks and pants left, dirty bedding, unclean showers and a sick like liquid in the bin. With a child who has immune issues there was no way I was allowing this. I spoke to reception and they wanted to send someone out to re clean however if they cannot do the job the first time I was reluctant to have this so I spoke to a manager and we were given a different caravan (silver) after a bit of putting our foot down. We accepted this caravan as it was cleaner than the previous one but still wasn’t great it hadn’t been hoovered, beds weren’t made and there was no toilet roll and I cleaned everything down as was then concerned. When returning the keys for the first caravan we stood in the queue waiting and there was 5+ people complaining about the same thing we had experienced one persons comment was “I’d rather sleep in my car than that caravan” which is just horrendous. We did get the early check in refunded as we didn’t get into our new caravan until after 4 but I don’t feel like I want to return to this site.

Unfortunately we are extremely disappointed with our stay. We paid £600 for a 3-night family holiday, our first holiday in over a year, and sadly the experience has fallen well below the standard we've previously enjoyed at Haven. On arrival, the caravan was not clean. There were grubby handprints on the windows, carpets that clearly hadn't been vacuumed, thick dust on surfaces including the TV stand, and dirty floors that hadn't been mopped. To make matters worse, the bed linen for one of the rooms was missing. Despite calling reception twice (second time to say we really need the bed linen to our child can go to bed.... it never arrived), we received no apology aside from an automated email. We've stayed at Haven twice before and have always been impressed with the cleanliness and customer service, which makes this experience even more disappointing. I also reported a couple of maintenance issues, including loose trim around the front door and a faulty kitchen blind. Sadly, based on this experience, I can no longer recommend staying here. EDIT: in response to Haven's feedback. I raised this with them at the time and was totally fobbed off saying 'we have a complaints department for this stuff'. Nil communication from them on this. There shan't be a future visit...

Unbelievable... I've been here 3 times now. And every time it's dirty. So I bring my own cleaning products. The only reason I come back is the kids like the park and the pool. Well I'm not coming back again. This time the room smelt of weed, the kitchen sink was blocked, the pan was covered in oil, the cutlery had food on. I am thinking of leaving and getting an air B and B. After all this my husband went to talk to reception about it, and they can't do anything until tomorrow. What good is that??? Obviously there's a cleaning issue. HOW HARD IS THAT TO FIX!?!? We stayed at Skegness haven a couple of weeks ago and it was great and clean. This place is a dive. Don't come here. Edit to add: after reading other reviews it tells you to get in contact within 4 hours and they'll rectify the issues asap. For us, that's tomorrow. It's too late. I've had to clean the mess myself. And my kids will have to sleep in the smelly dirty bedrooms. Then what's the point in saying you'll give compensation if it's not rectified after they've come in when it takes so long you either eat with someone else's dirty cutlery or do it yourself and not get compensation. What a joke.
