Ranger activities are a chance for your little adventurers to get their hands dirty, learn outdoor skills and get up close to our native wildlife. You'll find a taster of activities below that are ideal for exploring and experiencing the great outdoors.
Den Building
This Bushcraft activity will reveal the secrets of the forest as our expert Rangers show you how to create shelters and have a go at building your own. Will your shelter pass the waterproof test?

Firelighting Techniques
Essential for any young explorer, this Bushcraft activity will give you the know-how to safely light a fire using things found in the wild. Our Ranger will teach you all the necessary skills and you’ll put them into practice there and then.

Plant Pot Art
Creativity is key in this activity! Select your plant pot and decorate it with funky Giotto pens. The design is all down to you! Will it be spots, flowers, or something completely unique?

Grass Head Creations
You’ll learn all about growing in this Creation activity, as you make your own flowerpot man to care for at home. Once his ‘hair’ grows you can chop it and watch it grow again!

Nature Trail
In this Discover activity, you’ll enjoy a guided tour of the park’s natural environment and learn all about the history, heritage and wildlife that lives on our part of the coast. Expect fresh air, fitness and a bucket load of facts!

Bug Hunt
You’ll learn all about the bugs that live on the coast during this Discover activity. As you explore, our passionate Ranger will give you a wonderful understanding of the small inhabitants of our parks and show you how to spot them. You’ll then have chance to use all you’ve learnt to find your own.

Wild Wizards: gather up your natural ingredients and concoct your own potion and wand, decorated to suit each Wild Wizard's tastes!
Ranger Tots: little ones can explore nature through sensory play in this hands-on parent and child activity.
